The DTS
Spindle Line
The DTS
line features three different types of spindles: cantilever mount
style, outboard bearing support style, and removable arbor models.
Cantilever mount style models
are intended for applications where the truing roll traces across the
grinding wheel. These spindles can also be used for plunging applications
where the grinding wheel is relatively thin.
Outboard bearing support
models are required for plunge dressing and truing applications where the
grinding wheel is relatively wide or for when multiple wheels are to be
mounted to the spindle during a single operation.
Removable arbor type spindles
are used for the same reasons as outboard support units, but offer quick
change among different roll types and provide the capability for wider
diamond roll widths. For each style, a variety of models are offered to
accommodate a wide range of diamond roll widths and diameters and power
requirements.
